More Good News... Of the RITA variety.

What better way to lift the gloom of rewrites than the call I got from that nice lady at the RWA this afternoon. She told me that my second Modern Heat The Mile High Club (aka The Millionaire's Blackmail Bargain in its Presents incarnation) has Finalled in the RITAs (the Contemporary Series Romance Category). What a thrill. Had to go on line straight away and register for the Conference in Frisco in July - now all I have to do is dig up the airfare from somewhere and buy a great frock.

Also heard from a certain little bird that there's another Modern Heat author in there but I'm sworn to secrecy about who it is until the list comes out tomorrow.

Whoopee! Modern Heat is taking over the world.

The Good News and the Bad News...

Ahh, an author's life... Well, the waiting's over and now the rewrites begin. Turns out I left out a rather important ingredient in my fourth manuscript. Namely, the sexual tension.... Oops. Still, the good news is, once you know what's wrong you can fix it. Only problem is, I've only got two weeks to do it in. Will be pulling some late nights over the Easter holidays, but at least I'll get to spend them with my very yummy hero and his seriously fiesty heroine.

The Waiting Game

Sent off the manuscript for Book Four three weeks ago to my editor at Modern Heat and as usual, am finding it hard to concentrate on anything other than why she hasn't got back to me yet. I'm sure it's just pressure of work, but those little worry gremlins won't leave me alone. Why does this never get any easier?

Still, will get back to you as soon as I hear. She did mention a possible November release date, but it's all dependent on what she thinks. Blimey, it's so hard to type with my fingers crossed.
