The lady from RT, she say 'Yes!'

Whoo-hooo, just found out I got a whopping 4 stars for Hot-Shot Tycoon in the September edition of Romantic Times Book Reviews. So nice to break out of my three-star doldrums at last.

The reviewer Sandra Garcia-Myers (she of the fabulous taste!) called Daisy and Connor's story 'emotional and heartfelt' and pointed to the 'amusing opening'. Cool to know I made her smile with Daisy's satin knickers...

Also while surfing the usual blogs (as you do when you ought to be writing) I discovered this vote of confidence from the fab  Waiting For the Call blog which said Hot-Shot 'could just be my new measure for the ideal Modern Heat Story.'

I'll be posting more snippets from the RT review on my website soon, but until then I'm going to go bask in the golden glow of my own fabulousness.... Smug? Full of myself? Just a tad.

Now if I could only wrestle Leo and Issy's story into shape I'd be over the moon.

Fabulous stories deserve fabulous credit and 4 stars is surely a just decision. It is such an easy pleasurable book to read and pulls on the awld heartstrings at the exact right moments. Jane, the lady who's blog you refer to has mentioned that comment to me before, it is a great example of what Modern Heat ought to be.
Here's to more 4 star reviews winging their way to you,

Aideen.

LOL Heidi, I wondered why click-throughs to my blog had skyrocketed today!
I loved the story, no BSing. It's so good to find that combination of a laugh out loud funny heroine voice, with a genuine depth of emotion. Your new stories will be going on my must-buys, and I'm looking out your back list too.

Aideen, fancy meeting you here! Thank you for the kind comments, but I think I know someone else whose voice is even more MH than I hope mine will become...
What's that delicious man Robert doing now?

Aideen, you're a star!

Felicity, thanks for the kind words, so glad you like Connor and Daisy's story too.

And Mulberry, as much as I'd love to take the credit for your blog hits, I doubt it... But thanks so much for sticking Hot-Shot up there on your blog, it's always a real thrill to get a good review.

Great review, Heidi. And thoroughly deserved. I too loved the book (as I think I've posted here before).
Connor is soooo sexy! You certainly give great hero. ;-)

Oh I love Connor and Daisy. It was tough to have to say goodbye. I wanted more! MUCH more! Ahh well back to impatiently waiting for your next book...

Aww thanks Jackie, now I'm blushing.

And Lacey, you'll be glad to know Connor and Daisy do have several key scenes in my next book (because I just couldn't let them go either), and I will of course be doing a comp here on the blog when I get my hands on some author copies in September or thereabouts... So you never know!
