Elvis Has Left the Manuscript...

Well, after a six week wait I finally heard from my editor at Modern Extra and it's been a major shock to my system.

Basically she wants to take my marriage-of-convenience out of my marriage-of-convenience story. I blame that damn Elvis Impersonator who insisted on having a scene. Well, now there's no wedding, at least he's got the boot too! Motto of this story, never let an Elvis impersonator enter your manuscript.

Still she liked the Hero and Heroine — a gorgeous ex-gambler turned Vegas hotel tycoon and an impulsive English girl who gets stranded in Vegas with no clothes, no money and a serious sense-of-humour failure. Everything else can be changed I guess, if need be -- as long as I can have chocolate and margaritas on tap. Actually, come to think of it, I think it was the margaritas that got me into this fix in the first place.

Watch this space as I shall be posting the next item on the Pink Heart Society First Anniversary Treasure Hunt later today.

Sending you a hug.

But revisions mean the book can be even better than the original. You'll get there.

Smarties are good bribes (or Minstrels) - one per page. Trust me, it works :o)
